![]() About the TherapistI have over ten years experience of working with patients and am a fully qualified and accredited Psychotherapist registered with the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists.I wasn't always a psychotherapist. I learned what people longed for and feared as a creative director in advertising, so I understand the world of commerce and artistic pursuits, the need for work-life balance and many other seeming opposites that are asking to be reconciled, such as career and motherhood. I prepared myself for training in a ten year analysis before starting to see patients. I trained in Integrative Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy (Re.Vision) and bring a soulful approach to Psychodynamic methods, including tailoring my work to fit the individual needs of the patient from several modalities including Gestalt, Systems, and Transpersonal. My Jungian training commenced within the Jungian Section of the British Association of Psychotherapists in alliance with the Psychology Department of Birkbeck College, University of London with a Master of Science in the Psychodynamics of Human Development. This study included infant observation as well as research into female identity issues surrounding reproduction and mid-life. My interest in women's issues surrounding identity, life stages and biological processes has lead me to pursue PhD research at Cardiff University. I am a Candidate with the Association of Jungian Analysts (AJA) where I anticipate becoming a fully qualified IAAP recognized Jungian Analyst in the near future. Listen to your dreams. I have had extensive training in working with dreams as a pathway toward a dynamic connection between the unconscious and the conscious. Work together may also include active imagination, guided visualisation, drawing and typology. UKCP Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist. Member BACP, British Psychological Society (BPS) and International Association for Jungian Studies (IAJS). My work is conducted to the ethical standards of the UKCP, BACP and BICA and you will find me listed on each of their websites. I regularly undertake continued professional development and supervision. |
