About the Therapist
I have a Foundation in Counselling from Westminster Pastoral Foundation. Qualifying in Integrative Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy (Revision) I bring a soulful approach to Psychodynamic methods, including tailoring my work to fit the individual needs of the patient from several modalities including Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Systemic, Developmental, and Archetypal perspectives.
Jungian analytic training commenced within the Jungian Section of the BAP (now the British Psychotherapy Foundation) (BJAA) in alliance with the Psychology Department of Birkbeck College, University of London with a Master of Science in the Psychodynamics of Human Development. Post graduate work included observation of infants, analysis of psychodynamics in organisations and groups, and a researched thesis. I trained to become a fully qualified Jungian Psychoanalyst with the Association of Jungian Analysts (AJA) where I am a Professional Member able to provide analysis to candidates. I am certified as a Psychodynamic Supervisor from the Society of Analytical Psychology.
My previous career as a Director in the creative arts lead me to discover Analytical Psychology. The qualifications of Counselling Certificate, Dip Psych in Integrative Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic MSc, Jungian Analyst, Psychodynamic Supervisor, and Ph.D amount to a rigorous sixteen years of training. They provide me with plural perspectives on treatment methods within Jungian, Psychoanalytical, Psychodynamic and Integrative Humanistic frameworks. These qualifications are but paint on the canvas, light and shadow for the camera, and fields for exploration to journey with patients in South West London through cycles of self-awareness and transformation in a process Jung identified as individuation.
A Ph.D in Psychosocial research on late motherhood alongside Jung's view of complexes, allowed me to explore unconscious processes in depth on association networks, inter-subjectivity, the acculturation of identity, and how the body speaks through trauma. I have long been interested in how women and men make personal choices in an era of bio-technological advances.
Registered with the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists in the College of Psychoanalysis and Jungian Analysis (UKCP) and a Professional Member of the Association of Jungian Analysts London (AJA), I am recognised as a Analytical Psychologist by the International Association of Analytical Psychologists (IAAP). My treatment models are oriented toward plural pathways to the unconscious for re-uniting spirit and soul.
Thank you for your interest in my Jungian Analysis and Psychotherapy practice in South/South West London.
